Condition Rating

Understanding Auction Grades

Every vehicle is rated by an independent inspector. The grade directly reflects the overall condition of the car — both exterior and mechanical.

S

Grade S — Showroom New

BEST CONDITION

Virtually flawless. No scratches, dents, or interior wear. These are typically near-zero-mileage demonstrators or dealer stock vehicles. Extremely rare and command a significant premium.

Exterior: ✦ FlawlessInterior: ✦ FlawlessMileage: ✦ Minimal
5A

Grade 5 / 5A — Excellent

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Near-perfect condition with only the most minor surface imperfections. No dents, no deep scratches. Interior immaculate. Grade 5A indicates the car is even closer to S standard. Our most commonly sourced grade for premium buyers.

Exterior: Minor swirls onlyInterior: Like new
4A

Grade 4 / 4A — Very Good

VALUE PICK

Light scratches or minor dents that are easily repairable through PDR or minor paintwork. Interior clean with light wear. An excellent value grade that offers strong condition at a more accessible price point.

Exterior: Light scratches / minor dentsInterior: Light wear
3.5

Grade 3.5 — Good

Visible scratches, small dents, or minor rust spots. Requires some attention but mechanically sound. Suitable for buyers on a tighter budget who are comfortable with some cosmetic remediation post-import.

3

Grade 3 — Average

REPAIR NEEDED

Noticeable cosmetic damage. Multiple scratches, larger dents, possible rust. Mechanically the engine and drivetrain may still be sound. Public GO my does not typically source below Grade 4 for our standard inventory.

R

Grade R — Repaired / Modified

PROCEED WITH CAUTION

The vehicle has undergone prior accident repair. While repairs may have been done professionally, full disclosure is provided. We strongly advise buyers to review the inspection sheet carefully for any R-grade vehicle.
